Located in the Paseo Marítimo (Seafront Promenade) area, Cala Gamba hasvast sandy spaces with access to the sea, best at the section near the Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu. This bathing area is 50 metres long by 10 metres wide with coarse, brown sand and a rocky bed covered with underwater plants. As it is a natural bathing area, it does not have access for people with reduced mobility or its own lifeguard service, although the beach rescue service provides good monitoring. 

Following the Cala Gamba promenade (towards El Peñón) we come across another tiny rocky and sandy cove in Carrer Illa de Samos.
